Moore Law LLC is an Atlanta/College Park-based law firm providing legal services to clients in the probate/estate, personal injury, criminal, corporate/business, and family law domains.
Moore Law, LLC was founded in 2008 by the Honorable Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore, Retired Fulton County Superior Court Judge.
Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore is now celebrating her 41st year as a member of the Bar, having served more than 31 of those years on the Bench. Early in her legal career, Judge Moore served as a Trial Attorney with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission under the leadership of “Mr. Civil Rights”, the Honorable Donald L. Hollowell.
She served as General Counsel to the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Management under the leadership of Judge Horace T. Ward. Since her initial judicial appointment by the Honorable Maynard H. Jackson more than thirty years ago, Judge Moore has achieved a litany of “firsts”. She was the first woman to serve full-time on the benches of the Atlanta Municipal Court and the City Court of Atlanta and the first African-American woman to serve on the State Courts of Georgia. She is the first woman to serve as Chief Judge of the Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia’s busiest trial court of general jurisdiction and the first African-American woman to serve as Chief Administrative Judge of any Judicial Circuit in Georgia.
She was re-elected to the bench six times county-wide. Her judicial portrait was unveiled on her thirtieth judicial anniversary in 2007 and is now on display in the Fulton County Justice Center Tower.
